Développé par la compagnie Rhenmetall-Borsig et conçu comme transporteur d'artillerie spécial. Le véhicule a été conçu pour transporter un système d'artillerie avec la possibilité de tirer depuis le châssis. Le véhicule utilisait la suspension du chasseur de chars Hetzer. Le développement a continué de fin 1942 jusqu'au milieu de 1944. Le projet a cependant été abandonné en faveur du projet Ardelt en raison de sa conception complexe, son coût élevé, et son poids excessif.

Developed by the Rhenmetall-Borsig company and designed as a special artillery carrier, the vehicle was intended to transport an artillery system with the capability to fire from the chassis. The vehicle utilized the suspension of the Hetzer tank destroyer. Development continued from late 1942 until mid-1944. However, the project was abandoned in favor of the Ardelt project due to its complex design, high cost, and excessive weight.
