Model Set Messerschmitt Bf109G-10 Erla: Historical precision on a large scale.

With demanding large models on a scale of 1:32, the challenge often lies in the details. Nothing disrupts the overall impression more than rudimentary cockpits or static surfaces, which immediately catch the eye at this size. In addition, the search for the exact colors for historical camouflage patterns often slows down the drive. This model set eliminates these hurdles. It offers you a kit at the highest level (Level 5), which was specially developed for experienced model builders, and includes the appropriate basic equipment. This means you can fully concentrate on the complex technology and historical authenticity without having to make any compromises.

The highlights of this set :

  • Imposing size: At a scale of 1:32 (28.4 cm length / 31 cm wingspan), every rivet and every joint of the "Erla" hood is shown to its best advantage.
  • Professional level: With 147 individual parts and level 5, you can challenge your craftsmanship and create a model of museum quality.
  • Historical ace: The decal sheet allows you to build the machine of Major Erich Hartmann (JG52), the most successful fighter pilot in history.
  • Technical finesse: Movable control surfaces and a detailed chassis (either retracted or extended) ensure dynamism.
  • Ready to go straight away: Thanks to the included basic paints, brushes and glue, there is no preparation time - also ideal as a high-quality gift.
  • Interior: The detailed cockpit invites you to open it up to showcase the instruments.

The G-10 "Erla" is considered by connoisseurs to be one of the most aesthetic variants of the famous 109 series, especially because of the modified engine cover. This kit captures exactly these subtle differences in lines. You are not working on a simple plug-in kit, but on a technical replica that requires patience and experience. The reward is a model that impresses with its power and depth of detail.

Whether you choose the Erich Hartmann version from the last days of the war or the Praha-Kbely Air Base variant: the included Aqua Color colors serve as a solid basis for an authentic paint job. Since this is a reissue (reintro) of the popular 2014 version, you now have the chance to (re)discover this highlight of the 1:32 series and add a real centerpiece to your collection.

Background information :

The Bf 109 G-10 was not a completely new aircraft, but rather a kind of "emergency program" of the late phase of World War II to match the performance of the G series to the superior Allied fighters. She often combined G-series hulls with the powerful DB 605 D engine. The name "Erla" refers to the Erla Maschinenwerke in Leipzig. Characteristic of this production was the asymmetrical, streamlined engine cowling (often incorrectly referred to as the "Galland hood"), which was necessary to accommodate the pipes and assemblies of the larger engine. With Major Erich Hartmann's machine you build the plane of the pilot who made history with 352 aerial victories.
