The ZiS-3 (Russian: 76-мм дивизионная пушка образца 1942 года (ЗиС-3)) is a 76.2 mm divisional field gun used by the Red Army during World War II. Many artillery experts rank this gun among the best artillery pieces of World War II, along with the German 88 mm gun and the British 25-pounder howitzer.

ZiS is an acronym for "Zavod imeni Stalina" (Russian: Завод имени Сталина, Zavod imeni Stalina, or "Stalin's Factory"), the official name of Artillery Factory No. 92 in Gorky, which began production of this gun. German soldiers nicknamed it "Ratsch-Bumm" (Ratch-Boom) because, since the ZIS-3 was used against them at long range, they heard the muzzle blast well after the shell had impacted.
