The GAZ-AAA was a conversion of the 2-axled GAZ-AA into a 3-axled version. It was slightly heavier and slower, but had an increased load capacity from 1.5 tons to 2 tons. The chassis of the GAZ-AAA was used for the BA-6 and BA-10 armored cars, the SU-12 self-propelled gun, and many others. It entered production in 1934 and was phased out in 1943 after nearly 37,500 were produced.

Le GAZ-AAA était une conversion du GAZ-AA à deux essieux en une version à trois essieux. Légèrement plus lourd et plus lent, il offrait néanmoins une capacité de charge accrue, passant de 1,5 à 2 tonnes. Le châssis du GAZ-AAA a été utilisé pour les automitrailleuses BA-6 et BA-10, le canon automoteur SU-12, et bien d'autres. Sa production a débuté en 1934 et s'est arrêtée en 1943 après la fabrication d'environ 37 500 exemplaires.
