The Fieseler Fi 156 is a German military reconnaissance aircraft from the Second World War, designed in 1935 and manufactured by the Fieseler company. It was nicknamed "Storch" (German for "stork") due to its long-legged landing gear.

Comparable to the American Piper L-4 Grasshopper or Stinson L-5 Sentinel, it excelled in roles such as observation, the transport of VIPs or equipment, and medical evacuation. Between 1935 and 1945, the Luftwaffe operated approximately 2,900 Fieseler Fi 156s across all fronts throughout the duration of the war.
